A multi-energy company and at the cutting edge of development in the field of electrical mobility, TotalEnergies is set to embark on a new adventure with Opel and the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup “powered by GSe” – the first all-electric one-make rally cup – through its longstanding partnership with Stellantis Motorsport, which Opel has recently joined.
TotalEnergies and Stellantis Motorsport: driven by a shared passion for innovation
To promote its expertise in electric mobility and showcase the quality of its products, TotalEnergies has joined forces with one of its leading partners, Opel – a recent addition to the Stellantis Motorsport fold – for the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup “powered by GSe”, the first all-electric one-make rally cup. A Corsa e-Rally, boasting 136 horsepower and a torque of 260Nm, has been developed for the competition and fitted with a specially-adapted chassis (Bilstein dampers), a Torsen self-locking differential and all the required safety equipment.
Featuring a capacity of 50kWh, its lithium-ion battery provides it with a range of around sixty kilometers in racing conditions and may be charged to 80% in thirty minutes using a 100kW charger.
Acutely aware of the importance of the energy transition that is underway and a key player in it, TotalEnergies has acquired a measure of legitimacy in the field of hybrid and electric power in recent years. The same is true of its operations in the world of racing. This can be seen especially in the development and marketing of dedicated fluids in the Quartz EV Fluid range.
